Yes, but the overboost limit is just one number. Since the factory target boost is >13 psi, it could not have thrown an overboost code at 13 psi. I don't know where exactly the overboost limit is on the 2011, but my guess is it's around 17 psi.

And to everyone saying shove the car back at the dealer or the likes, if it was that easy I would have by now. As of right now, the paperwork says the car was sold as is. I don't believe there is any sort of loophole around that. All I have is their word of mouth saying "the car was maintained perfectly, was stock, etc." Nothing was put in writing as far as that goes unfortunately. If anybody has any advice/experience on this, I'm all ears.

I'm in the process of hunting down the owner to see what was previously done on the car and from what I've heard it isn't good. Basically said he had a built motor. I'm seeing if I can confirm with the dealership what this guy said (in a round about way) and I guess I'm going to go from there.
As of right now, I haven't been able to get the car to throw the P0244 after I cleared it the last time. Just need to dig up some history on the car to find out what's been done to this thing.
yeah boost tapers at redline. once pressure equalizes, only hot air is being forces through the turbo. is the stock boost solenoid on the car? nothing looks touched under the hood? is the wastegate arm moving freely? you should be able to open it with your hand.

The stock solenoid was on the car (I think) but they replaced it and now it seems to have gone back to normal.

I found out the previous owner had a built engine, upgraded turbo, etc. Fried the intercooler twice. However, the dealership said this car was "well maintained." I'm going to see what I can do with the dealership and if I have any way of giving this car back to them.

Put up a post in the regional. Friend recognized it and let me know everything that had been done. Apparently the tranny has gone out a couple times too. This has turned into quite the headache.

Appreciate everyone's help through this mess.

Working on getting the service records right now. Not sure if the tranny work was covered under warranty or not. I'm going to try to raise hell and give it back to them or at the very least get the 100k warranty thrown on at no cost.

wow man. i feel bad for yah. i was thinking one more thing. i would check and see that the restrictor pill and t hose are proper, connected and facing the right direction. that would give you a boost issue.
