a group of us are heading up to vt this weekend. im trying to figure out how easily finding 93 octane is. i know in my past travels up to nh, the further north you get the harder it is to find.
the route is... day 1- rt100 up to the killington area day 2- 100 up to rt73, across 73 and up rt53 to rt125 and then down rt100 back to MA. we will spend the night around the killington area. and break for lunch around the middlebury area on day 2. any info on 93 availability along the route would be a huge help. also, for anyone interested...here is a link to the event, feel free to join us. http://www.facebook.com/events/238414652947330/

Live and work around eastern central Vermont area. Took a look at ur route. I don't foresee you having a problem finding 93. Just plan to stop in some of the larger towns. Ludlow, killington, etc. Worst case I've run into is having to jump to the gas station across the street or down the road. I don't think you are going far enough north to really have to worry about it. Maine is the only place I have really run into the problem. Good luck with cruise. Looks like a pretty good rte.

Not sure what the weekend plans are with the wife yet. If she has a bunch of homework Saturday I might try to meet you around Ludlow and cruise for awhile Saturday.

On your way into Wilmington, VT on Rte. 9 (which you will be on briefly coming from 100 North) there is a Mobil station on the left with 93 before you get to the center of town, just after a pizza place, Shaws supermarket etc. This will be before you turn right in the center of town to continue on 100 towards Mt. Snow.
There is also a 711 with 93 on Rte 100 as you get close to Mt Snow, pretty obvious, on the left hand side of the road. |
