The installed WG spring is too small, if the spring was upgraded or an EBCS was used the boost curve could be flattened out. Besides that, solid setup thats pretty fun. Not a big fan of the ATP turbo vs say a DOM3, but it works.

That's super laggy for this turbo. Is this the GT or GTX?

Its at least a few years old, so Im assuming its not a GTX. Im also sure the undersized wastegate spring isnt helping. This car was just a 'walk in' retune, not something we put together, so I dont have a lot of background on the car outside what I needed to tune it.

Ive never had an ATP stock location turbo come through that spooled particularly quickly. Do you really think its 'super' laggy? Most of the ATP 30Rs seem to come up to a good boost level mid 4000 rpm from what Ive seen.

I'm no tuner, just curious. If it holds the same boost to redline, why does power and torque drop off so much?

it doesn't...the biggest curve on the graph is the boost plot...peaking at ~25 down to 20 at redline...

looks like the w/g spring not keeping the door shut, hence the slow spool...i'd bet the engine is working way harder than it optimally needs to achieve requested boost...needs proper spring stat...

I agree that it needs a wastegate spring, itll hold torque a lot better up top if the boost held better. Id like to run the car 22-23 psi. Unfortunately with the peak at 22 the boost at redline was like 17 lol.

The recommendation has been made, well see what happens.

I had the ATP 3076 w/ external gate on mine and it seemed sluggish to spool as well. Top end was there as limited by the heads.
