Default Weird vibration

Hello all,

I recently developed a vibration coming from the engine under moderate to heavy acceleration. It feels like the engine bogs and can't create the power. I have also been hearing more backfires especially after the engine bogs down. I've been thinking its something with the combusting either fuel, air or spark plugs but idk. Any ideas?

Maybe a miss fire? Are you throwing a cel? If its flashing its deff a miss. Could be bad plugs or bad coil packs, I'd start with plugs if they haven't been done in a while.

Not throwing a CEL and they're none pending. Plugs were done about 2 years ago.

I guess it's kinda like sputtering. The only thing I can compare it to is it feels like when I have no traction on dirt and the wheels spin. The wheels aren't burning out or anything it's when I push the gas more than half way the car sputters for a bit and then keeps going.

But the RPM does not go up during that time, right? (because that would be your clutch slipping from being worn out)

I don't think it's the clutch because I have replaced my clutch before. When the clutch starts to slip the revs start to climb when I accelerate but the speed stays the same. In this scenario the revs go up and the car accelerates with it but there is a vibration when I start to push it. It doesn't last for awhile, but it is still there.

Update. Changed the spark plugs. Problem solved. I was just surprised that I didn't throw a CEL.

Good to hear. I might try that too for my ongoing knock and hiccups issue.

When you replaced the plugs, did you notice if the coil packs or the plugs were not tightened enough? Or was it all apparently all well tightened?

His vibration was the car mis firing due to old spark plugs. Your vibration could be anything from low tire pressure, a wheel not balanced or your cars out of alignment which I would count out because its so new.

What are the plugs gapped at? Out of the box NGK's come at .40 which could cause misfire since they are supposed to be gapped at quite a bit less depending on mods.
