If you spray it right, its smooth. If you the sprayer away too far it will get rougher. I found that out doing the rims on my old truck.

OP that came out amazing! I really dig that blue. Nice work.

So sick! I've plasti-dipped my rims black and they turned out good. I want to do my hood and trunk black on my silver 05 rs. I love the color it definitely stands out among the rest. Good job well done! About how long did it take to spray/dry?

I hear some people say it will damage the clear coat if it stays too long.

Or it will not come off easy if it stays on there too long.

Is this true ?

hour to spray, 2 hours later i started peeling the parts off i wanted to expose.

That might be better answered by someone that has had it on there a long time. I'm inclined to say you've been misinformed, but I'm not 100% sure.
