Default quick question

I'm having a boost control, and a fine knock learning issue. I happened to notice that I swing really lean when I let off the gas. funny thing is I have a hybrid bov so some air is venting. shouldn't it swing slightly rich rather than lean? not sure if it's normal or not and couldn't find info via search.
