Default Normal boost behavior ?

Hi, I was asking myself a question today.

Is the boost level rising progressively with the throttle position ?

What Im getting with my car(protuned stage 2 sti). These numbers are more like an estimation, but its only to give an idea.

Fifth gear. 50% throttle. Boost gauge reading 10 psi
Fifth gear. 60% throttle. Boost gauge reading 10 psi
Fifth gear. 70% throttle. Boost gauge reading 10 psi
Fifth gear. 80% throttle. Boost gauge reading 10 psi
Fifth gear. 90% throttle. Boost gauge reading 18 psi

Is it normal that I have to floor it to get past 10psi ? Why cant I get 12-14-16 psi when not on full throttle ? It seems like a switch.

Thanks

How fast are you going when u go 50%, 60%, ...90%? If u floor it in 5th at 40mph, good luck seeing max boost immediately

Without a log this thread really wont yeild anything worth while. It depends at what RPM you are going WOT, it depends on your tune, it could be mechanical issues.
