Default JK Subaru in Nederland Texas.

Hi my name is Ryan Smith and im the internet sales manager here at JK Subaru. I was given permission to start a profile on here for our dealership. I'm just hoping to get some support from subaru owners in southeast Texas.

We plan to start having garage days here. We will allow customers to come in and work on there own vehicles. We will also will have our techs up here to help with anything you might need.

We also plan on having Subaru meets out here at the dealership. There will be food. Hopfully we can get enough people involved to get this area excited about the subaru brand and the subaru company.

So if anyone has any questions or other ideas please fill free to hit me up on here.

Thanks

How far is this from dfw? Once I get her back on the road, I wouldn't mind going for a nice cruise!

Sounds like a great idea Ryan. I'm sure you and Turner will get the details ironed out soon enough.

Ok ive talked to the GM here at JK Subaru and before we set a date or really start planning anything we need ideas. We want input from the people on here. We want to know what you think would help us expand the brand here in southeast texas and we want to know what you would expect out of these events and meets.

I dont want people to think these events are only for people with WRXs or STIs. These events will be for anyone to come out and talk to people that enjoy subarus as much as they do.

So like I said if you have ideas or anything that you think would help feel free to tell me I could use the help.

Thanks

This is what Cobb does at their meets. One meeting they will show you how to do your brake pads and another one they will do an oil change demo.

The basic stuff will save owners a lot of money. Be surprised how many people can not change their own oil.

Once we get a date set I will post it on here and anyone is invited to come. The more people that we can get here them more excited we can get people about subarus and itll make them want to stop and see whats going on.

You could raffle off a oil changes, or maybe a BRZ.. That would get people's interest.

I didn't know JK was a Subaru dealer (haven't lived there for 10 years), but glad to see the support for the community. I bought a new Chevy truck from you guys about 20 years ago and it looks like the customer support hasn't changed.

You might want to post up in the South East Forum since Lake Charles isn't too far from Mid County. Hell, Ive driven from Corpus to Houston for the Gillman shop days, so an hour or so isn't bad.

So you mean the FOURTH time is a charm? The Third time is when your car sat there for a few hours and never actually got worked on. I guess for a "NEW" dealership they are still learning the ropes.....

So far my experience has been top notch with JK. Haven't closed a deal quite yet, but this has to be the best overall customer treatment I've ever had.

I ordered a car from Ryan at JK back in September. I can't wait until the STi comes in! I would love to attend a meet and greet of local subaru owners / grillout / a simple how to from a subaru tech! I do all my own work on my cars, but I always enjoy watching the professionals do it the factory specified way.

Ryan if you ever need attendance, don't forget to invite me and the 5door.

As far as ideas for a meet up - you could have some service special during the event like - 15% off oil changes, brake flush, coolant flush, a/c charge, tire rotation, or anything that can be accomplished during a BBQ. Might bring some business in to service.

Could have a static display of a car with a wheel off, where techs can describe to you when you need new brake pads, and maybe a raffle for an accessory where the winner gets free car tint or a subaru shift knob, runner up gets a license plate surround. Some of that money may pay for the BBQ to recoup costs, etc. Just thinking "out loud." :P

i have bought a 2012 legacy from jk subaru and yes their customer service was very excellent. the front desk girl named summer, was very helpful in getting my car scheduled and techs there are certified subaru mechanics not halfed assed. So with that said i would love to see a meet at jk subaru. Also i have the only moddified legacy in this side of town.
