I leave in seattle so in the City if we are lucky we get snow. I ski so I will be taking trips to the mountains but other than that there really isn't much. He is selling them for $300 which seems pretty good to me.

you do NOT want studded tires!!!!!!
they are for ice use and any other use is marginal at best they can be dangerous when used on dry pavement and you likely will get busted using them, anyway as they are likely illegal where you are which is why yer buddy is selling them so cheap you COULD pull the studs out i suppose...but i wouldnt try using them in town on dry pavement |

If I don't get these I am not sure what kind of tire I should get with steelies? I am not trying to break the bank. Also All weather (since I live in a pretty mild snow area) or strictly winter tires? just want some that I don't have to worry about

I ski quite a bit (Denver) and I picked up Pirelli sottozeros as a designated winter tire. Blizzak lm60 and wintersport 3d are also good options.
I ultimately went with the sottozero because its performance just not in snow, but it's increased traction when temps are below 45f when comparing it to summer/all seasons. |
