News New Subie girl in town

Hey everyone,

I'm from the Tri-State area and I will be picking up my 95 Impreza AWD tomorrow.

I've always wanted a WRX STI but could not afford one and still cant just yet. I'm hoping that my new subie will introduce me to the world of Impreza's and after I get a full-time job and save about $4,000, I can afford to finance a 2004-05 WRX STI.

I have no plans for mod's on this car except the exhaust system. I see no reason to put the money into this car when it is not my dream car but just an introduction car. I could the money spent on mods for a down payment on a WRX STI in the future.

So, I plan on attending so events in the tri-state area so look out for me. I'll the girl driving the teal subie about 5 miles behind you as my 1.8L cannot keep up with all the RS's, WRX and STI"s.

Same thing I said when I bought my 96.. A full RS facelift, exaust and interior swap later I ended up finally getting my WRX and selling the GC.

But congrats are in order for sure. Welcome to the community.

Welcome to the site. Nothing wrong with an old Subaru! Enjoy it!

Actually, if/when you sell it let me know. I have a '96 Brighton shell slowly becoming a rally car and that L would be a great parts car when we break things

Welcome, CPAsubiegirl. CPA wouldn't happen to stand for Certified Public Accountant, would it? If yes, you should be raking in money in no time nce you build your client list. The STi will seem like a kiddie toy then.

I'm planning on putting a magnaflow 14818 most likely in late September right around my birthday. I want it to sound just like this video:

Yes, It does stand for Certified Public Accountant. I'm not there just yet. I graduate with my Master's degree in Accounting next year and I plan to sit for the first part of the exam this time next year. I'm currently a tax accountant during the tax season and a full time student for the rest of the year.

Believe it or not, no money is rolling in for me right now. After 13 years of school, I'm $170k in school loan debt and still have not landed a full time job yet. Its not what people think about the accounting field. It takes time before employers will even give a recent graduate a chance at the numbers. I have 3 years experience as an assistant tax site manager managing over 75 volunteers and just to become a tax associate with a firm, they want 7 years experience, CPA designated and at least 3 to 4 years experience with a major corporation in a tax position. So you can see, I have some time before the big bucks come my way. It will come but I have to be willing to work to get there.

Congrats on your steps towards becoming a CPA. I am on my road towards it as well. I start with my firm this summer, and officially next year after I graduate. I am going the audit route as opposed to the tax route.

Paying your dues is part of becoming a CPA, just as it is when one becomes a doctor or lawyer. Just keep your head up and keep gaining that valuable experience. You'll be where you want to be before you know it.

i wanted a STI at first too. then i got my 2.5 RS and loved it, now i would take a RS over an STI anyday. its all about your style, and what you feel at home in.
and welcome to the family.
