Okay, I didn't buy the engine by accident. The seller just didn't know what year the engine was and I had assumed it was phase I. I still bought the damn thing anyway. My original plan was to use the shortblock with 20H heads...
I probably already know the answer to this but just out a mere sliver of hope that I might be wrong because I know jack **** about SOHC engines but are there ANY sensors at all that are phase I compatible?

The intake manifold has the sensors...and you use the intake mani that fits your heads, so that shouldn't be an issue since,IIRC, the 20H uses an EJ25D style manifold. I would use the HG for the phase II EJ22 though, and not the 20H.

I'm actually using a G manifold. The H long block was in a garage fire and as a result all sensors were destroyed. The idea with the EJ22 is I use the short block and the sensors. But being phase II the sensors aren't likely to work in a phase I car. Which is why I was asking in case there might be something that will work from EJ22 SOHC engine. |
