Default Help me choose new wheels for my -03 STI!

I wan't new wheels for my STI but I'm having a really hard time figuring out what to get so I'm hoping to get a few ideas from you guys!

Today it's rolling on 18x7,5" Prodrive by OZ wheels and is dropped on D2 coilovers, the car looks alright I guess but I don't really want the rally look!

I'm grateful for any kind of tip and/or images of other WRB peanuts with nice wheels!

Some restrictions:
-New wheels MUST be 18"
-I do not wan't to lower the car or do any injury to the fenders
-I like the whole stance thing but it's more important that I can drive it without issues.
-I'm not Bill Gates so should be affordable (i.e XXR, Rota etc)

Well put the idea of stance out of your head if you're kind to your fenders.
Poke around members car gallery and look for the peanut gallery, good start in there I'd say.

I have been searching for hours but most of the people that are posting pics either have a superduper Hellaflush car or almost stock.
Where's the modest people?

And about the stance thing, I said i wan't to be able to use the car so I don't wan't that but what's the most aggresive setup without having to modify everything?

A lot of it comes down to what tires you want to run, I would say an 18x8.5 in around a +45 would be your max area with a regular 235/40. Don't quote me on that but that's the ballpark I've seen. Rolling fenders really isn't as much of a task as a lot of people make it out to be though.

I'm a huge fan of white wheels on blue cars. Check out the Sparco Assetto Gara thread here.

Borrowing this example from user Killpsibot:

Thanks for your replies!

I have new set of Kumho 225/40/18 tyres on the current wheels and I intend to use them on the new wheels.

We have harsh winters here with lots of salt on the roads, I've seen too many examples of rusty arches because people have been trying to fit wide wheels so I won't even attempt it.

White wheels looks great with the blue color but I'm a bit lazy to keep them clean.

I was just browsing through Rota's collection and stumbled upon Formula in 18x8,0" in either silver or gold. They look great but maybe to similair to my current wheels?

I also like these wheels (XXR 521) but I'm afraid they won't look as good in smaller dimensions and on a higher car. Couldn't find any better photos unfortunately.

I'm still trying to figure out how you got P1s to fit over brembos...spacers?

I've always liked the Formula Mesh, but they are on the heavy side.

No spacers, it's a tight fit but it's a fit!

I'm now considering painting the current wheels in some kind of metallic grey/silver.

Insipiration:

I think it looks nice, what do you say?
