Default Weird grill: 2010 STi

Hey guys, I've got a deal in the works to pick up this 2010 STi, but when I was looking at the pics I noticed something kinda weird....

The grill on this one doesn't look like most of the 2010's I've been looking at pics of. Most of them have the larger top bar and a larger emblem, and are black/graphite. I thought maybe it was an early '10 that had an '09 grill, but the '09s I see have the other grill I described. Does anyone know what's up here? It's not a special edition as far as all the paperwork and everything says, and no special edition badges.

Long story short, why is this grill different? Can anyone explain to me? Thanks!

For example, this is the grill I see on most of the 08-10 STi's

Was it part of some package that came with other things?

Some come fully loaded from the factory. Mine was like that with every option except the side moldings which I don't really like anyways.

No problem! Make sure and get a compression test!

Yup, sport grill. My 08 STI came with it, specifically asked for ZERO add-ons but that's what the dealership got. Not sure what retail new is but its worth keeping.

It's a "certified used", so I get an additional 6 year/100,000 mile warranty. Not that I want to buy a car that's got a compression problem, but at least I'd be protected. Anyone know if the "certified" inspection is in depth enough to trust, or do you think I should still ask for a compression test?

It'll cover damages caused by NOT doing a compression test. But if you do any power mods that warranty will be worth exactly 1 cigarette butt plus tax.

I am pretty subtle about my exterior mods but I think the sports grill looks too plain even for me.

Does Subaru not do a compression check on Certified Used? I know at Honda part of an inspection to be "certified" is the compression check
