Default Dunlop SP Sport 600 woes

Recently I got a 2011 STI with OEM Dunlop SP Sport 600 tires. This week I did my first tire rotation at 7500mi. Right after the tire rotation the car starting pulling to the right. Austin Subaru took a look at it and suggested it was radial pull due to a bad tire. They suggested I get in touch with a Dunlop dealer to fix the bad tire.

I took the issue to Discount Tire where they diagnosed the problem by rotating the right side and then the left side wheels. After 30 mins we figured out that the driver side wheel was the culprit. They offered to prorate the tire replacement based on the remaining life of the tire. Additionally I would have to pay for installation.

This is annoying because:
A) This tire was probably bad from the start, but I only found out about it after my first tire rotation.
B) Subaru recommends that all four times must have the same degree of wear.
C) There are no Dunlop SP Sport 600 tires in the area.

I see no way out of this mess without paying for at least one tire and some labor. Even if I can get Dunlop to cover 100% of the bad tire, I will still have tires on the front with uneven tread wear. I guess I could shave the difference (2/32) off the new tire.

This seems like a lot of hassle to deal with something that should never have been an issue in the first place! My gut tells me just to call it quits with the Dunlops and get a nice set of Bridgestones or Michelins.
