Stud/Dowel intereference on bolting up 04 STi trans to EJ20G

Which one do I pull and how do I do it? There's a matching set on the other side too.

punch out witch ever one will go all the way through.

you just need one on each side.

The trans ones are easier to get out. Knock them out with a hammer and punch.

Finally popped out the one on the right seen in that picture. Trans is bolted up now!
