Default 2013 rod knock sound????

Just got a 2013 WRX, and right now it has about 70 miles on the motor. However, When i am driving, i hear this rod knock like sound in both 1st and 2nd gear in the 2000-3000rpm range. Any other gear has no noticable sound.

I'm shifting at 3-3.5k rpm, and babying the car.

Whats wrong?

Should i take back to dealership?

Thanks

Take it to the dealership since it will be covered through the warranty

Will do, but could it also just be my ears not used to the "boxer rumble"?

I've asked a few people, and they said it could just be me not being used to the rumble.

If its loud enough for you to notice, I doubt it's the rumble considering the stock exhausts are extremely quiet. Especially since you're not shifting past 3,500 rpm.
Take it to your dealer and have them figure it out.

Your likely hearing the mechanical noise of the transmission, specifically the flywheel, and fuel injector tapping.
