Question, what are you guys doing for oil in these new ones? I am nearing 1000 miles.

In my 2005 I used the Rotella T6 5w40. Is that too heavy for a new engine?

i have been using t6 and it seems that a lot of people do as well. No leaks, not burning oil either and i am doing 4k interval changes. (2011 wrx stock, 14k miles)

As long as these cars have been a hatch... I have not seen an exhaust as UGLY as that. It sounds great tho.

Badass car either way.

Stock suspension for now. I just purchased the wrc body kit for it from prodrive. I will have to figure out the bumper from that as I think the exhaust will look a lot better with a properly fitted bumper.

Yeah, Crawford was selling theirs for like $13000 with no wing lol. So I got a hookup from a friend at prodrive. I am from the UK and went to school with him, got me. Huuuuuge hook up. $1500 to ship it still though

I'm actually not sure if prodrive makes it. He just knows someone who supplies them.

You need to fix your links

Also are you planning on running those stock wheels on the widebody? Don't you think it will look awful with the wheels sunken in?

I'm actually planning on entering this at pikes peak, so I am going to be modifying this both to look cool but to also function. I also live right next to the F1 track so the plan is to enter for that.

I am now scrapping my plans for wide body for the time being though. I need the funds for engine works and suspension right now.

Snapped a few pictures today, and also have some teaser videos later from the little film we are shooting about the car.

Also since it was the Austin Color fun run today, I took some fun shots too with the wife and her cousin etc!

The car looks great w/ the exception of the exhaust. Its sticks out too much and does not flow with the car. First image thing that pops in my head resembles ricer cans I see everyday here.

Don't worry, I am working with Crawford on the exhaust. Sounds much better since I changed some of the piping too.

As for them sticking out though, they really don't stick out very far, but because of the hangers, it loos like they do.

I'm not a big fan on the hatchs unless they've been done right but I like that body kit you linked. I also wasn't a fan of the exhaust but you never know right, everything sounds/looks better in person rather than over a video.

Yeah it's like F1. Sounds way different on tv to in person. I grew up in England so I got to go to f1 allot. But I took my brother in law to the Austin F1 and he couldn't believe it in person.

Out of interest are there any good quad tip straight axel backs without mufflers.?

I cant wait to see that WRC body kit. And thank you for putting on the gold wheels, thats a flawless look with the WRB. i personally dont care for how the tips stick so far out past the bumper, but like you said, the new body kit should make that abetter fit
