Talking Cannonball Run has a Subaru in it.

I just got through watching Cannonball Run on TV, and the car Jackie Chan was driving is a Subaru 1600. I have seen this movie about 20 times but this is the first time I have ever noticed it. I guess thats why that car went off road so good with the dunebuggies.

Hey Subie Gal, I just pulled out my old, old, old Cannonball Run tape to check it out again. It is Chan's car and a Subaru, It's even in your favorite color but has no yellow on it. I hit pause at the right moment to see that it is a confirmed Subaru 1600 or 1800. Your right about Cannonball 2 Jackie is in both!

Jackie Chan is definitely driving a Subaru in the first one.

I loved how the white Evo IV landed on its side in the one scene and then got back on all 4 wheels again and *voila* not a scratch on it! Even the mirror was still intact

And i remember jackier driving the Evo IV but i thought that crazy jp rally chick was doing most of the cool driving, including the painful looking 'gravel attack' =)

Actually, the coolest part in "Who am I?" is when the girl was driving, taking the Lancer Evo on a few spin, then backs up into a parking space to hide from the BMWs chasing em... wish I could do that!

actually ash, its quite simple, just park your car, then drive out like normal and replay the tape backwards. thats how they did it for the movie (which was renamed from 'armor of god' to 'who am i' when it made its u.s. debut. i believe it originally was gonna be 'operation condor II: armor of god' but ended up being 'who am i'...)

Actually, that stunt scene was done as it appeared in the movie.

The stunt driver practiced hitting his marks with cones delineating where the parked cars would be in the scene, and when he got it perfect, they filmed the scene with cars in the parking spots.

I think everyone has missed the point.

SubieGal has Cannonball Run II on DVD.

That's frightening.

You all saw the Subaru in the Kid Rock video right??

It's American Bad @$$ video. When he rolls up on his HOG next to that family car with the long haired kid in the back freakin' out. Well that car he rolls up beside is a Subaru!!!

Check it out if it's ever back on MTV.

You mean they still show videos on MTV. I love the Cannonball Run series and if I had a DVD player I think I'd probably own them too, don't feel bad SubieGal.

On the topic of the Operation Condor movies, what we got as Operation Condor, was actually Operation Condor II... The real Operation Condor was originally released about 10 years ago, I believe, and you can rent it under the title Operation Condor II: Armor of God.
...at least, I think so.... Who Am I? was a made for the international market(read, not only China) to fill time between the big releases he's been working on...
...and I also believe Chan or his company has a deal w/ Mitsubishi, because if you look in almost all of his movies(aside from Rush Hour, Mr. Nice Guy, and Rumble in The Bronx, read: the major american releases), he drives one...
In Op Condor II, I think, he drives the crazy Mitsu that splits into 2...
