Default 2006 WRX Wagon Journal

I figured i would start a journal to keep track of things i'm doing to my car. I have had the car For around a year and a half, and it has by far been the best car I have ever owned. I bought the car bone stock with 60k, one owner and all maintenance records. This car is my daily driver so i haven't gone too crazy with mods but i am definitely having fun with it! I will continue updating the thread as i go. Please let me know if i can do anything to make this thread better. Thanks!

Update 4/2/16

Over the last several months there have been a few changes to the car. My OEM clutch started slipping really bad, so it was time for an upgrade. I decided to go with an OEM flywheel and an Exedy Stage 1 clutch, along with upgraded bushings. After the install the clutch was very touchy and kind of chattery. Now that i have driven the car almost 2,000 miles the clutch is perfect. There is a little deceleration noise, which i have been told it's normal. With the new clutch, and the new bushings the transmission feels great!

I actually ended up ordering the feal 441 coilovers! Should be here in a week or so.

I also managed to pick up a set of 17x9 +45 RPF1's with 245 40 Sumitomo HTRZ III tires for a great deal! I have only test fitted them so i'm not sure how bad they are going to rub. I'm planning on rolling my fenders this weekend. Hopefully i will have coilovers soon! Hoping to go with the feal 441's. I just need to clarify some inboard strut clearance issues with that coilover.

Had an issue with a vendor so I actually ended up going with feal 441 coils. I also rolled all 4 of my fenders a few weeks ago.

All 4 fenders rolled with a slight pull. This is on springs. Coils going on this weekend!'

Spent some time prepping the coils for install this weekend! Applied anti-seize to all of the collars and threads. I'm also in the process of making some coilover covers out of some outdoor canvas. Hopefully I don't have to deal with these seizing up!

I have such a strong want for a WRB hawk on RPF1's. I love it so much. You put a lip on there and youre perfect.

ha a lip is actually what i plan on doing next! Going to get my alignment tomorrow. Gonna shoot for around -1.5 camber all around. Hopefully they can make it happen in the rear. Space is pretty limited between the coilover and wheel.

Update 4/27/16

So far everything has been going great with the car. It took me a few days to get the coilovers adjusted, and find the most comfortable damping. I was able to get the car aligned today and couldn't be happier! I had them go -1.5 degrees all around with 0 toe. Everything else is set to factory specs. The fitment is nearly perfect! I haven't had any issues with rubbing either, except for the under tray. I didn't notice before the coil install but my under tray is falling apart and scraping. ha nothing that a few zip ties can't fix.

Maybe when these tires wear out I might be able to fit a 255!

How long have you had the VF39 on the car and how many miles does you're car have if it's ok for new to ask.
