I've been trying to find a stage 2 map for an 04 FXT, but no luck so far. I've read that you can't just copy wrx maps, because something is different. Does the same hold true for LGT maps? Can I copy the tables from an LGT stage 2 map and use that as a good starting point?

Sounds reasonable as long as the tables are the same size. I have no idea whether they are or not. If they're not you can still use the tables, it just won't be a simple copy.
Also make sure the column and row header values are the same, you might need to copy those as well as the cells in the tables. |

I made an FXT map from a wrx map since the 06FXT engine was pretty much the same as the 06 wrx. Probably a good place to start off from.

I would start with a 06 wrx map since they come with the same turbo the td04. The legacy comes with a vf41 and stage 2 would be totaly different then the td04 on your fxt.
