Fog or reverse light, Cel? I like the reverse light overlay being all red, although that IS the reverse light... So I'm curious to see what it do.

HATE the triangle in the bottom rear, so all red for me looks better. this aint no ****ing rx8

and other drivers dont really need to worry about my reverse lights, in all my years of driving i have yet to have someone say something to me because the reverse lights were a different color

and the stock tails...well i'm on a mission to get rid of all that damn chrome in this car

idk i feel like it could be a problem in parking lots when people just think your tail lights are on and you start backing up

alright so my mission to get rid of all chrome is almost complete, baked my headlights today. have yet to see someone do this to a brz. FRS guys have been doing this for a while already.

these are the major two pieces of the headlight.

i hit the blinkers with this:

that way they are black but still maintain the reflective ability like stock.

masked off so that the rest remains gloss black while all the chrome was painted with flat black enamel.

also installed my Hella horns today. finally no more quiet flimsy horns. these things will be heard

these are the led's split with the cover. as you can see all you need to paint is the cover. also anyone who wanted could now overlay the LED strip in any color they would like, might be kind of cool but i decided to keep it clear.

and presto!

i'll get some more shots later. this took me and my buddy ALL DAY. if anyone will do this, just take your time and be patient especially with paint drying. trust me you dont want to rush this.

Much better without the chrome. Never had HID lights before, does blacking out the bowl limit output like it does for halogen lights?

Huh? see that glass ball, thats the projector. I didnt touch that so the output is still the same. the parts that i painted are just plastic covers that cover the mounting brqclets and screws. If i left them off the headlight would work just as well.

As long as the projector And lense cover are untouched the output shouldnt change.

okay so i'm torn, should i do a light smoke on the LED? because that is the only thing that is 'chrome' or shiny on the front end besides the led strip in the headlight.

smoked vs stock

Nice car there! Hehe

I like the smoked DRLs with fogs, and am thinking I like clear DRLs without fogs.

snow anyone?

you can finally see the sharkfin installed, good shots of the headlights that i did, and i ended up painting the stockers black for winter, just looks so much better.

as for driving the car, with blizzaks its honestly was fine when i need it and then had a blast when i wanted with TC off. just drive slowly and if need be start in 2nd.
