thanks man im happy with it too. as for flares its not that bad just have to be willing to cut up your body, i went a little extra with some fab work on the rear doors and such. and I dont like the idea of a full cage for a dd, but i might get a half cage next spring...

Yeah it will be ready for next year. Hypermeet is cool and i will attend as long as they don't sked it with other big meets in the US.
Maybe if YZ is ready next year we can do a road trip and hit the big meets in the US.

Nice build! Care to comment how the fender flares looked with the stock rims? Totally ridiculous? You got any more pics?

My STI is also my winter car where I need to run 225's but I want to get the flares... What would you consider to be the bare minimum wheel to fit under the flares to look half decent? Could an 18x8.5 +43 with 25mm spacers work?

ugh man it looks really really silly haha, i had some other pics but deleted them because it was just that ugly , umm 25mm spacers is roughly a inch right so with some wider tires it could look ok. just look at it this way i have 18x9.75 +20 and 245 tires and i dont think its wide enough, its completely functional and looks good but im going with a 10.5 in the summer with 285's. hope that helps.

haha yea... Thanks tho, I remember when i first got the flares it took quite a bit of research to find out how to get them, because you had just started selling them i guess. I think it was hershey that gave me your name, none the less ty.

p.s if you dont remember me its because it was my parents not me that picked up the flares while they were sight seeing on vacation.

I am definitely going to continue to follow your build. We have almost the same exact build and I ran into the same problem with the flares. Bought a set of 18x9.5 +20 grids, realized they stick way out of the fenders with 235/40's and got the flares. Now I have ridiculous stretch tires to fit under flares -_-. But I cannot wait to see the next few steps!

here she is out of the booth sitting like a monster truck because the engine has been removed to get rebuilt .

If you notice i decided to do something different with the flares where they mount up to the body. instead of doing it like everyone else ive seen i put a rubber strip between so you can see the flares stand out. the front piece on the bumper and rear door will get something similar to make it look complete, its all part of my theme.

and heres one of the engine. or engines lol

and the fun begins

Any reason you didn't get a borg 83-75? I always heard they spooled quicker and made more power than their garret equivalent in twinscroll
