Default not subaru but flat four....

took her for a drive up and down the street this weekend...took this pic this morning

still smoking a little...it might go away...detonation out the wazoo (esp when the advance kicked in)...that's what I get for running 89 in a car the manual recommends 96 leaded for...she just purrs at idle though

it's starting to look like a car again...

gonna adjust the front ride height...

if anyone wants to joyride let me know...you'll have to come out to my place.

Wow, I've always wished I could get an Old porshe like that, and fix it up. I suppose I have plenty of time though....

Lightbulb Mmmmm....

There is just nothing like the sound of a flat air cooled engine purring along behind you.

One day I'll get my 911/ 912.

If you're ever looking for something like that, don't discount the 914. Some Porsche snobs I've met won't even acknowledge the 914 as a Porsche... but they're great little cars. They're pretty plentiful... and fairly cheap to buy a car to start working on. Once you start.. that's where you're gonna hit the money. They're lightweight, handle like a dream, and you can toss an old VW engine in them without a problem.

or get a renegade conversion and drop a small block chevy in...or turbo scooby power.

I can get a conversion to go scooby power for the 912.

Steve:

Good job, mate! But...something's wrong.

Your garage looks so empty w/o my car in it AGAIN!

Great work man, keep the dream alive. See ya shortly.

No, when I drove it it was missing the fender, door and rocker you see.

even with 85-90 hp, it could have spun the wheels...too bad detonation got in the way...

gotta head to the track for 100 leaded race gas...it's only 4.50 a gallon

put in the 350. there is a guy with a yellow 911 at an autox that had done this and its faast.

350s are a lot cheaper than a subaru engine too unless you can find a wrecked wrx and squeeze in the engine and ic. thatd probably make you famous

Cool

It lives!!! It lives!!!

Go for Frankenporsche and keep the original engine in case you find a buyer who insists on originality.

Take the 2.5 out of your RS and drop it in...

Best of luck Steve!

it'll most likely be ducktail with RSR front bumper...the rad would be behind the bumper...yes it would work.
