So I've been dealing with eric minehart at torqued performance tuning dealing with e-tunes via opensource. I recently went stage 2 with one of his maps and for some reason my car is having odd knock that he can't even explain. We went through 5 different versions of his map and still getting weird knock. Now he's telling me that I should get colder spark plugs (already ordered), and he says that my car has always never liked timing (going from his stage 1 to stage 2), but why would my car act so differently than anyone elses 2011 wrx. I've looked at other logs from 2011s running less mods and they're fully capable of running more timing. Logs are included and are labeled. What puzzles me even further is after his first revision I was only getting minor feedback knock and now with his last revision I'm seeing way more knock. Any input is appreciated as always.

Eric just tuned my Sti bugeye and did a great job so hopefully you can figure this out, are you using a wideband for logging? Also you need to set permissions to public so we are able to view logs.

Well if it's always been an issue with timing that is out of the ordinary I would maybe try readjusting and re-torquing the knock sensor to rule that out. Maybe clean up and retighten the factory engine grounds as well. Just a thought.

Also, get him to turn of AF#3 correction. that Rear O2 keeps ramping up as your logs go on. But i also agree with Blaze.... that heat shield tends to rattle... specially when one of the bolts crack that piece of metal. seen it a few times.
