03 wrx with 04 sti engine and trans daily driven year round plus a few autocross's a year and a couple trips to the drag strip. Fp red and supporting mods at 25psi. The only mounts I've done so far are rear diff and outrigger bushings but I've driven other cars with solid mounts to compare to. Ive been a mechanic for 8 years and I have access to a lift for install and can send better installed pics then the average guy under his car on jack stands.
I'd be intrested in the harder mounts.

I'm a professional mechanic by trade and able to install these very quickly.
Currently every bushing other then my engine mounts are upgraded or re-enforced in some way. Seriously considering the cusco kit, might have to wait for a TIC variant now

What a hassle it was to get into the Subaru game at first. After about a year and a half of searching and twice that saving, I finally became the proud of owner of an 06 SGM wrx. Currently the car sits at 40k miles and the car has been great ever since. I got bit early by the mod bug and ever since have been tinkering with the car, trying to make it handle as best as possible while keeping a level of comfort for daily driving. For that reason the "soft" mounts would be ideal in my particular situation.

The car has become a project for my father and I and everything we have done has been an excellent experience. Luckily we have a large arsenal of tools to aid any and all "driveway" mechanics. We have learned so much over the past 3 years since I have got the car, and there is so much more to learn and do.

I'm doing a full engine rebuild in December. After that I'm going to install a FMIC and larger turbo + more supporting mods.

Up till this point I've done everything listed myself except for the fuel pump and mbc simply to give my tuner a little extra $$$ when I had my tune done considering I bought the parts through him.

Also, it's also worth mentioning that everything I do to my car is a learn as I go. Prior to these mods I could rotate tires, change oil and such. I've accumulated a great set of tools and knowledge since then. So if you're looking for the perspective of someone who is an amateur/learning tuner, I'd be more than happy to write a well written and honest write up on this product with tons of pictures. If not, I'll probably buy it after I read someone else's review on it.

Currently the car is my daily. It sees a small local autox event once a month or so as well as much spirited driving on the windy roads to and from work.

2003 Forester 2.5XS

I have a lot of drivetrain bushing done on this car.
-Group-N Engine Mounts
-Group-N Transmission Mount
-Kartboy Transmission Crossmember Bushings
-Kartboy Rear diff Outrigger bushings
-Custom/Home Made Urethane Differential Main Bushings (no one makes any for the foz!)
-Kartboy Front and Rear shifter Bushings
-Kartboy Pitch Stop Mount

I've got experience installing motor mounts, and could am very intune with the change each bushing has made in my car. I Also can give you a comparison of the mounts v Group-N and Stock mounts. If the "soft" are still going to be harder than Group-N, i will do that, or if not, I'll go for the harder. Ahh, I also have very good ears for picking up extra noise that these bushing may create. I am very sensitive to the difference in clutch feel that many of the bushings have made on my car. It's nice not having a transmission deflect on soft rubber bushings everytime you push in the clutch.

The N/A engines have nice low end torque for seeing how well these guys hold up to quick on/off throttle applications at low speeds in first gear (where you would get the head banging from the stock mounts usually).

Other mods are mainly suspension. Sway Bars, struts/springs, subframe bolts, endlinks, etc. I drive usually a lot of High RPM engine braking, and also lots of stop and go (where stock bushings are absolutely terrible). I can bang out new motor mounts in 2 hours, and have plenty of free time most days.

The car is an alrounder, but mosty abused. Its a lot of trackdays, and we have some areas where we "play" in the area, particulary in the winter when there is snow all over the place. I also drive it to the store, the kindergarden and sometimes to work.


As for install, no problem, Im and educated car mechanic with a shop in my garage Im not to active on Nasioc, however I am at the local forum here in Scandinavia

Clint this time I'm not in the middle of a move or waiting for a set of wheels so I can actually get it done within 2 weeks no really

I may be late to this leg humping event, but I'll toss my...uh...libito into this.

I guess I should cover some key points that may be pertinent to the testing.
  • I have long been a bushing advocate. For everything I've spent on Subarus, including a significantly modified car of considerable step up in many areas, bushings have been and always will be my most significant and loved mods.
  • Bushings were one of my first mods on my old 2002 Forester, and I did not go lightly dropping in about $1k worth of Group N rubber bits everywhere. Other mods followed, but nothing changed my car as significantly as bushings.
  • I have driven bone stock, heavily bushinged, and driven stock bushinged and heavily bushinged cars of nearly the same setup back to back in auto-x.
  • In terms of engine mounts specifically, I went Group N, my bro Cusco. I've ridden and driven his Cusco slightly. He later went to Group N as it offered less NVH and more specifically equal NVH behavior.
  • My last car had all Group N engine and transmission bits. My current car has Group N transmission parts, but the previous owner felt no desire to upgrade engine mounts. This is to say my current engine mounts are stock, so I'm sort of in the market.
  • I'm in the market.
  • I am a skilled writer who has written many reviews and technical works on various forums. I am an honest and unbiased writer...or at least as much as any individual of a unique perception of reality can be. I can provide a plethora of said content if you wish.

The car this will be going on is a Forester XT. It is moderately modified with a built engine, 18G, full 6sp swap, upgraded suspension running D-Specs + GC 350/250 springs, etc. I use it for daily and for sport and have been doing so with my two Foresters for the last 6 years. I am the third owner of this car and have owned it for 1 year. The previous owners oddly felt a car with an 18G didn't have a need for upgraded engine mounts. I think there's room for improvement, but I have not yet budgeted for the package of upgrades I intend to perform on the car. Engine mounts are one part of this package.

I already put in my submission (post 19) but I figured this was fitting. I knew my mounts were worn out but I didn't think I had broken them yet.

Sure enough, they fell off when I took the engine out over the weekend.



So when will these actually be for sale? Test or no test I just need some.

I have a new longblock I'm putting together now and well, now's a good a time as any to put some new mounts in.

Im very interested in being a tester!

2013 WRX
-Cobb SF Intake
-Cobb Accessport with stage 1 map
-Kartboy shifter bushings
-Kartboy short shifter

I have not done that much to my car because i am a full time university student with no money haha and because i only recently purchase my car. I drive my car close to 20 miles daily and have taken it to a local karting track in my area twice for time attack just so i can get some base times down so in the future when i have more modifications i can see the improvements.
