Not to sound demanding but we can all agree we want these pictures back! Any progress or new work done?

I did the first few pages, i'll try and get some more pages updated tomorrow at work. I've just painted the cradle and trans mount . I've had to spend my time the last few weeks on different projects. Plus its been raining since Christmas and its just yucky weather.

Changed my photobucket album name and it screwed all the links up... haven't had time to fix all the pic links. I'll get it soon. I haven't had time to do anything lately.

No worries. Rather see further progress with new pictures if unable to fix all pic links in older posts.

So does that mean you aren't getting an lsx 376? Or you're gonna build this one and later on down the road get the lsx and sell the 4.8? I love the idea of an lsx 376 boosted.

either way still building the 4.8 first and trying it out. I have a 67 camaro at my shop that has a new old school 383 crate engine in it but now the customer wants a lsx based engine , so thinking about just putting my 4.8 in it and buying the lsx 376 for my wrx. Just getting to the point where I want to get the car together and drive it again.

Nice! So what cam options are on the table at the moment?

I've searched for a off the shelf turbo cam but really didn't see what meets my requirements. But patriot performance is right down the road from me, they are gonna do a custom grind for me. When I get it, I'll post the spec card.

If you wouldn't have gone forced induction, how much money do you think you would have saved?

I have a semi rolling bugeye chassis and I was tossing around the idea of putting a V8 and rwd drivetrain in it as a ratrod, "ultra budget", but still drives ok type of deal . I probably wouldn't go for any crazy amount of power, 350-400 hp, so that could keep the price down.

Then again I am already funneling my money into my ej207 build and I don't really have much for fabrication skils so this will probably never happen. But it is fun to think about . I am going to guess the hardest part of this project is fabbing the front and rear sub frame? I really don't think I could do that .

Regardless, your build is awesome and I can't wait to see the progress!

I say run the 4.8 so we can see this thing boosting . In any case it si going to be a beast and once the 4.8 is in he can swap to any LS motor with ease

I really never consider how much I would save... I want to do it right the first time and I stick to that plan.

I mean theres really no way to say, theres a million different ways it could be done...
for example running stock rear end and axles, would of saved me about 3k. But yet i don't want my car breaking first time i drive it.
If it was NA, not turbo, would of stayed with factory gas tank, factory lines, stock injectors and the current 255 fuel pump that was already in the car. and no need for a nice hd clutch, so on and so forth...

The main reason why I started this build was to do a v8 turbo swap. the turbo components were expensive, but thats just part of the process. Everything has came together rather easily by not trying to cut any corners and buying the right parts that are needed in the first place. And mostly not rushing anything and sticking to the plan.

Haha yea looking back at my post I realized how vague/ stupid my question was. I guess the main thing I was trying to get a rough guess on how much it would cost to do roughly the same thing with an NA V8. after really thinking about my question for a bit I realized that nobody can really answer that for me

Sorry for the dumb question.

No its cool, actually my friend asked me the same question over the weekend, I told him i would of ended up buying more parts for the engine (ex head and cam package) or fully building it and still spend the same amount of money. But i want to drive this car and have fun with it... Everyone builds cars different, I just trying to make a nice fun car.

Camshaft came in today, They hooked me up big time after seeing the unique build! Dropping the engine off at the machine shop this week. Also got the interior all pulled out to remove the fuel lines and brake lines, and so i can finish building the rear firewall.
