metal cost was roughly $130 shipped, should be plenty, to build them nice and beefy.

I plan to buy some brand new oem axles, arp wheel studs, and 2 brand new oem 350z unit bearings... probably gonna set me back 500 to 750 give or take. way better than 2k to $2700 on axles and hubs alone

Why stay 5100? I'd ditch that and just keep the 350z bolt pattern. Crap steal some 350z track brembos or sti brembos while your at it with some rotors. Makes sense to me.

I like my oem wheels with brand new tires for now...

if i change to 5x114, then I have to change the whole front end setup... spending the same amount of money or if not more.

Machine work and my labor doesn't cost me any more money.

Metal shipment came in today. Spent a few hrs on it tonight, Got one plate cut to hold the 350z unit bearing, took some time , 3/8" thick metal is tough to work with. But with what I got done, Its coming along nicely. Also got a black lokar throttle cable, to double check fire wall fitment before I do any paint work. But glad I did, b/c the lokar is too small for the oem throttle cable hole, just gotta weld it up and make it the correct size. I work late the next two days so probably no updates till the weekend.

I might be a simpleton on this, but, have you tried the SHARKBITE fittings on there?

Shark bite / pex is for home plumbing, I used it in my shop/ apartment last summer.

I used An fittings to adapter my heatercore hard lines to An style. Tried one last night and fits perfect

Update for the week. Waiting on my buddy to finish up with my 350z hubs, his cnc mill was down this week.... just glad it wasn't me who tore his expensive machine up. Hoping to hear from him soon so I can get these knuckles on the car.

Oh yea... a few pics of a mod i had to do for the throttle cable...
the mount for the lokar cable is smaller than the oem hole, had to weld it up and make it smaller so it would work properly.

my buddy dropped off the hubs a few minutes ago.. turned out good, just gotta put the arp studs in and finish building the knuckles.

Modded 350z hubs ( 5x100 bolt pattern) turned down to fit inside the oem rotor.

There wont be any updates for a while... I dislocated my knee sunday afternoon while riding bicycles. spend the night in the ER. My knee is messed up pretty bad, gotta go to an orthopedic surgeon in the next few days after the swelling goes down. Worst part is no health insurance.
