Dang. Wow that is bad. I hope you're alright. You can't give up on this project! It's epic and you'll regret not finishing it if you cancel it

TyConway,
The project can wait, so sorry to hear/ see your hand injury. Hoping you can get your hand back to normal. I hate seeing this sort of stuff.

I've been following your build too bro. I wish I had the time and money to do a build like this myself. I have been jealous watching you fabricate this amazing one of a kind work of art.

I can only imagine how your feeling right now. I have had setbacks, and know how hard it can be to deal with. I wish you a speedy recovery. Makes me realize how lucky I have been wrenching all these years, and avoided something like this happening. It could have happened to any one of us. Scary to think about!

Just take some time to recover. Don't stress about this project. It will be there for you when your ready to get back to work on it!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

yea its crazy ive never got hurt like this... always done rather extreme sports... but yea im always careful but all it took was a split second to get hurt... but with my hands being what makes a living for me... i was so scared that i just lost my hand and much more. yes it is scary to think about.

Pics are gnarly! Wow. I'm not queasy but it kinda reminds me of when i cut my hand open (I was using tools as well!). I almost cut a tendon, but she held together and yes I could see it. I was like "woah... far out man". It sucked though as I had to learn to do everything left handed for a while. Not cool writing like a 1st grader in high school. The project is badass. Gotta keep at it. Nothing wrong with a pause button but a stop button is not cool.

got a order in from treadstoneperformance... 4" vband assembly and a 4" flex coupler for the exhaust. the flex coupler isnt as advertised. its 3.8" od... 3.5 id and further inside it steps down again. after calling several times i finally spoke with a guy there. pretty much said send pics to him... very short and rude. i'll think twice before doing business with them again. but who sells a true 4" id flex coupler (304 stainless)?

They have a couple different length options as well. It's cheaper at summit too.

yea they were ordered before the accident... i also sent my welder to get serviced... something in the inverter is going bad.

but this time down is driving me crazy... ive been trying to do stuff, but one handed.

my hand swelled since the accident, it gets fluid on it. my pointer and bird finger i can move but cant bend them to make a fist... i popped my fingers today... so its getting better and itching. had the bandage changed saturday morning... realized there is no feeling in the area where the cut is.

Really sorry to hear about your hand Ty. On another note, maybe it's time to put the projects on hold and get some health insurance?

Well every day is a step in the right direction. Hopefully you'll look back in a year or two and see it as a bad memory. Prayers are with you man.

I kid you not, I read this from page one today. You're build/story should be a damn movie. Super awesome build with horrible events. I wish you a speedy recovery so you can get back to your passion and thank you for entertaining me with your masterpiece!
