Yea that is exactly what I am going to do. Run the GM as a standalone harness and leave the "other" ecu in place.. Mount the coolant temp, oil pressure etc in the GM block and all that will plug right in to the stock harness.
Basically the GM harness runs all the engine functions, and "other" runs all chassis functions.
