WTB: Silver WRX in the southeast!

Hey all,

Looking to save a few bucks over an '03 and hopefully pick up a lightly used '02 WRX sedan somewhere in the southeast US. I'm looking for a silver 5 speed.. options really aren't a big concern. I'd prefer a car under 20k miles.

Help me avoid sales tax and let's make a deal!

Actually you will have to pay tax even if you don't buy it from a dealer, they charge it to you at DMV when you register the car. I will keep an eye out to see if I can spot one for you though.

Yeah, no ****! They tagged me with $46 tax on the RX when I went to the tag office today!

Now I to fill out a form and mail it in to explain how I bought the car with an interior full of bugs and a blown head gasket. So I hardly feel it was worth the $1500 they claim, when I bought it!

- Not to mention the woman in the tag office here is a real......

TomS2k was selling his slightly used WRX...not sure on the mileage...its here in Atlanta...not sure if he sold it yet or not, so either PM him, or just wait to see on the board...he loved the car, but wanted his Honduh instead....he liked having no torque...just kidding Tom!! hahaha

I had actually been thinking of selling, but I'm not sure.

My car is moderately modified, so I wasn't particularly looking forward to taking off all the goodies.

The car has less than 15k miles on the clock and is adult-driven by me

(at least as adult-like as one can drive a modded WRX!).

If either of you are interested, please send me an email or PM and we can hook up and discuss this more. Perhaps you can help me make up my mind.

The car is silver and has (professionally) painted side skirts to match. Other than the skirts and (legally) tinted windows, the car's exterior is unmolested.

All the modifications were performed by me (Mechanical Engineer with 15-20 years of wrenchin'). I do better work than any shop I know, so you can trust that the work done is top notch.

We can also discuss removal of all the goodies, or those you are not interested in.

I might be selling my silver WRX. I has 9k and is pretty much stock except a short shifter and an extra set of stock rims.

I might be buying a house, so let me know if you are interested

Hi,

I'm also looking for a MT Platinum Silver WRX in the Atlanta area.
I'd rather have a car with no options other than the trunk spoiler.

I've been searching the inventory of the local dealers through their webpages, but all I see are cars with lots of options ($$$).

Price is the most important factor for me.

Actually, I'm leaning now towards a used 2002 (silver).

If anyone has any leads, please let me know.

Also, any recommendations on the local dealers would be appreciated. I've heard that the new dealer in Gwinnett is really good.
