Default PSM spray paint?

I'm looking for spray paint that will match my 2002 PSM WRX. I just want something cheap that I can get at Home Depot, Lowes or the autoparts store. Does anyone know what to look for that will match the color the best? Specific brand and color?

I don't want to spend $100 on color matched paint from paintscratch.com, this is just my beater daily driver. I just need it close, not perfect.

Thanks, looks like Rust-Oleum 'Bright Coat' in Aluminum color with a silver cap should work. Also read that Duplicolor Subaru Quicksilver matches perfect. That thread is great, I guess my searching skills today sucked.

its Rustoleum Metallic. you'll see the silver cap that resembles PSM.

yes, the rustoleum bright coat in aluminum is an almost perfect match. I did the side skirts with it once i saw the thread listed above. and it turned out GREAT. just be sure to follow those steps. and dont freak out when you spray the aluminum and its reflective. Once you clear it, it turnes very very similar to PSM.

There's a thread in Int/Ext about painting Hella Supertones. I just did that on mine, and it came out really close to PSM.

If you have a Sherwin Williams automotive finish center near you, they can make color matched paint in rattle can for around $9 a can. That's the route I'm about to go for some side skirts, as you can't just run down to home depot and find a color similar to UGM.

Local automotive paint store is the best bet. Our local place does a pint put in 2 spray cans for about $30.

No idea why you bumped this thread, especially when grimspeed makes it in a can.

Yes, Grimm Speed does sell a great match. The Duplicolor Quicksilver is also a great match and half the price.
