Default Swapping TPMS

I am swapping wheels with someone, I have TPMS in my wheels, they don't. I would like them, they don't need them.

How practical would it be to get them swapped from my old wheels to the new ones? Estimated cost to do so?

My local performance shop disassembled my old wheels, swapped the TPMS Sensors to the new wheels, and reassembled the old wheels for $12 bucks per wheel.

i had new TPMS sensors thrown in my Subaru by the dealer and it was like $20 bucks per wheel (+ parts of course).

i'm sure you can get it done for less since they are already registered to your car.

but i've been wrong before.

How hard is it to swap wheels with TPMS? What is involved in syncing your car with the new wheels?

A special scanner to get ID code on sensor, and program the ID into the car computer. Local Subaru dealer did it for me for $16. One tried to do 50 though, so ask around. I think you can buy the scanner on tire-rack, but not sure if it programs also or what...
