Its not that you cannot have the stock airbox, its that it will not work if you have the intake piece that goes from the lip of your hood to the snorkus in your fender. When i removed my snorkus, i removed this piece as well so it doesnt affect me.

Well that was my general point, for the GR shroud the Stock intake system needs to be modified. I didn't know this, I thought this piece would fit with all stock engine components. Were you speaking just for GD versions like your own or for GR as well?

In addition to this wouldn't the rest of the airbox have to be modified or would you just be rolling minus the "snorkus" w/ the panel filter exposed?

This does work with the stock intake. You just can't use the ram-air/snorkel piece.

You don't really need to "modify" anything, just pull off your ram-air/snorkel.

Rob, yes it works with the stock intake. Just not the ram-air/snorkel portion.
