Default Sedan vs. Wagon door window glass

My 06 wrx sedan was broken into last week and i ordered a replacement passenger front door glass from ebay (stating it was from an 07 sti).

I put the glass in, bolted it up but it goes up way too high, about an inch over. I lowered the adjustment bolts and it still too high, and it doesn't roll down all the way either. It goes up and down very smoothly, so i think its installed correctly.

I'm thinking they sent me a wagon window.

Can anyone help me identify if this window is from a wagon or sedan? are there any makings that are different for the wagon?

As far as I know the front door is the same on both the sedan and wagon, including the glass. The rear is where there are differences. Either way it shouldnt be an inch off cus they arent that different. Id check to make sure it is installed correctly

After doing some research on the forums, it seems like even the front are different... install seems fine, even an glass installer said it looked like the wrong glass.

if they are the same, any idea what the install issues can be?

im lined up on both tracks and two bolts are lined up on the bottom. ive tried adjusting the two top stopper to the lowest position, but the window will still not go all the way down...

The rear doors are different as well, so that would make sense. The rain guards are different because the windows taper different in the rear, so they windows must be different.
*EDIT: Re-read, the fronts are the same, rears are different.

FYI so everyone that looks at this knows the truth...

I just swapped sedan doors onto a wagon, and the glass IS different

it is roughly 1" maybe 1.5" taller

this was on a 2002. I see NO way that they can be interchanged and used correctly. there was a 1" gap at the top of the sedan glass when used on the wagon, even at max height adjustment. It may "fit" but it certainly won't seal

My sedan rears do not go all the way down as well. I don't think any of the GD's do.

The front glass is different. FOR SURE. I put a new door on my Saabaru because it was all dented & dinged up, basically 05 wagon. A buddy had an 06 STI that someone broke into. Needless to say my window did not fit.

I wanted to bump this to gather more info.
focusing on 02-05 models, it appears the door shells (just the metal) on the front doors are the same part number, however the window glass, window linkage, and window motors are all different parts between wagon and sedan. why? wtf subaru.

fronts are DEFINITELY different. anyone who says otherwise hasn't physically swapped windows themselves. wagon windows either are taller OR have mounting points/stoppers/etc positioned differently (wag v sed) i would want to say holes are different on the glass, as the amount sticking over edge when rolled down equals the amount of glass protruding over the top and not allowing door to close.

recently got a fix it ticket it for tint. having just replaced tint and having a few stickers on window, i just replaced windows with wagons until my car is readu for shows. then ill swap back to tinted. 10 minutes each door is worth the couple hours of removing and installing tint. No, it doesnt fit perfect, but A) $25 is better than $200. B) i know to not roll up window all the way and slam shut. and C) i kinda miss clear windows! lol
