Default Wheel and tire help!!

I'm looking to buy new wheels for next year. But I'm not sure what will be a better set up. I have a 02 Wrx lowered on coilovers. I wanna get xxr 522s but don't know if I want 17x8 with a +48 offset. Or a17x9 with +42. I'm worried about rubbing.. I'm going to try to get a pic of my car on here. Don't think I can from my phone tho... I just sold my old wheels that were 18x7.5 with a + 47... Thanks in advance

17x9 +42 will require some fender mods.

if youre worried about rubbing at all, just get the 8" wheel .

there are several other affordable wheel options that will be of higher quality than those.

I know there are better wheels out there. But cash is the issue. They seem to look good for a decent price

If this is the mentality when modifying your car, perhaps this isn't the hobby for you.

You can find several new and used quality wheels for $800-1000.

When it comes to modding my car I have all name brand parts. Invida exhaust Cobb intake Cobb access port. With dyno tune. To me 1000 dollars on just wheels is a lot. Then another 6-800 in tires. No need to be a dick.

On a very mildly modified Subaru.

$1000 on just a turbo is alot.

$500 on a downpipe is alot...

Do you see where I'm going? Some parts are critical to a healthy engine, some parts are critical to putting power to the ground. I'm not saying you need to go drop 4000 on wheel, but for a marginal increase In budget you can find something lighter, and an overall better option.

Just sayin. Tires are another huge component.

Tires I won't go cheap on. My car isn't the fastest thing out there but it is a very reliable daily driver. It has 150k and counting. I just asked a simple question about wheels. I don't see the point in dropping a ton on wheels that will just get destroyed with Pittsburgh roads and winter
