or, rearranging the wheel count and layout requirements:

The desmo sounds like sex and who wouldn't want tailpipes coming out....of the tail? And the 1190RS? Just because...and it's soooo light!

Cars have four wheels. Better pick a second bike to comply...

And how many of these cars can you live with every day?

Some of you are thinking way too big.

Meh, if money were no object...who'd care. Spend it if you got it.

The first bike I pictured (above), the Desmosedici, lists step one of valve adjustment as "remove engine". You gotta pay to play.

Right, but the OP phrased his question as what you would buy if purchase price wasn't a factor; meaning you're still in the same financial position you're in now, but you can acquire whatever car you want. It implies you still have to have the money to maintain it after you purchase it. I wonder how many people saying "Veyron" have $300K a year just to maintain it.

YES! Z TUNE FTW. however, dude above you already beat you to it.

As far as being realistic about our financial situations while suggesting dream cars, I'd still go with a Z Tune. It's a 240sx maintenance-wise. very reliable.

I don't think I could own a very very expensive car. I would be too worried about rock chips etc. I think it would end up just sitting in a garage.

I think I'd be pretty interested in a 911 turbo, audi TTRS maybe. Stage 3 TTRS = 560whp hp. I think I'd rather have an STI over a TTRS though. The TT is deceptively heavy (3300 pounds) so may as well get a nice practical hatchback that weighs about the same.

Otherwise I would get a cheaper car and have fun modifying it. Like the newer bmw 335's with the twin turbos. You could make that thing a monster. Or a BRZ and supercharge the hell out of it. I'll probably do something like this in ~8 years when I finally start making some real $$.

I love the idea of a GTR but paddles are a deal breaker for me.

Oh... Miata with ls1 swap anyone?
