I guess that means you are **** out of luck, eh?

I didn't challenge you to a race. I'll be at select ice races, autocross, rallycross and possibly Tanacross if the stars align. I'll leave the racing on public streets to your ilk.

I stated what my bikes, with me on them are capable of. I also said that no car under $200K would come close to those times unless it is HEAVILY MODIFIED. Those are facts.

I have nothing to prove. It sounds like you do.
I thought you respond like that as if you never race on the street in your life. I only do it when its safe and secluded with no other cars in sight in mexico!

I can't race at the track because they already kicked me off for no cage. It sounded to me you were calling me out since you stated I couldn't afford a car that run the same if not faster than your bike.

Here's fact a stock 2012-2013 porsche 911 turbo S runs high 10s STOCK for I think 150K..... and a 2013 Nissan GTR STOCK runs 10.7 thats the fastest to date and that was a premium model for 96K or so but a 2013 GTR is low 11s to high 10s in stock form. That's 2 examples and I'm sure there others that run in those times for well less than 200K

For kicks the fastest stock turbo GTR runs 9.8@140 and only has 76mm downpipes, 76mm midpipe, 2.75 inch intakes, ID 1000cc injectors, twin 340lph fuel pumps, 2012 OEM turbo inlet pipes with a cobb tune with STOCK CATBACK EXHAUST which is heavy! ALL of that is under 3K in mods and not even close to heavily modified just basic bolt ons.

All the other types of races you mention are for times taking turns running on the track. I don't do ice races, autocross or rally cross as it isnt my cup of tea! Tanacross maybe just maybe but I'm too anal to run my car on a beat up rock infested track not to mention it would eat 2k in tires for me to run. When I spend that kind of money on tires I want to at least make it last for some time not just one event.

I do 1/4 mile runs and roll races.

I'm gearing my car to run the 1/2 mile and mile events but thats all out of state.

Only thing I did was to prove you wrong on one of your statements. So I'm a fool now because I called you out on it? I believe it would be a foolish mistake to call someone out when you don't even know what your going up against.

Personal attacks directed towards other members and other websites are strictly prohibited on the NASIOC forums.

No post whoring. This is where one creates a lot of small, worthless posts to increase their post count.

Trolls are not welcome on the NASIOC website.

No flame wars, if a topic appears inflammatory, the moderators will take care of it.

Street racing posts of ANY kind, illegal or otherwise, must be posted in the Off-Topic forum or they will be locked or deleted without warning or notification. NASIOC does not support illegal street racing in any way, shape or form.

I think the BRZ/86 was designed to be an economically priced sports coupe that handled really well, had decent power and minimal ancillary bits that could create havoc or upset the package either by its characteristics or by those component's perceived impact to warranty repairs/reliability. IMHO at least, when introducing a new concept that is a joint venture, I'd bet the last thing Toyota and Subaru would want is a rash of "glass tranny", "Failed turbo" or what have you. Not to mention there *may* be a learning curve for Toyota service on the boxer engine, which *could* effect customer service. (All hypothetical theories of course.. )

I personally believe there will be a higher horsepower version available. Many people obviously understand the theory of the car, and are in tune to what the designers had intended. However that is not to say that many of these same people would want more power in the platform, either from the factory or via aftermarket options.
I don't see a more powerful version coming from Subaru if they only continue to sell a max of 6k per year. Otherwise I agree with everything else you said! Thanks for that.

Still not confirmed anywhere that either company has officially made anything as such. News and rumors from people slapping together their excitement of new tech in new vehicles. Example: FA20DIT in the current JDM Legacy and upcoming 2014 Forester XT.

At Sema, aftermarket manufacturer's are lining up in DROVES to address the lack of horsepower in the car. Turbo's, superchargers and a host of other go fast goodies are now available or being developed for the car's inherent weaknesses.

Supply will answer demand and the customer is always right.
Having worked several customer service-oriented jobs over the years, I can tell you that the customer is either spot-on or dead wrong. I call that 50/50.

I agree that the cars aren't perfect, but I wouldn't say that slapping a turbo on it would "fix" anything. Ben put it best.

Not diapers man ... DEPENDS.

Now back on topic before we gets points or worse.

I hope they make an STI BRZ.

Although, I'd much rather see an STI Forester in the US.

Given that he apparently fought hard to maintain the purity of the design, including the narrow Prius tyres, how does he feel about people then 'upgrading' to fat rubber and bigger rims? Again that nervous chuckle. "You could ask 100 different people what they want and you'd get 100 different answers," he says. "The 86 is simple so people can make it into what they want." A blank canvas then.

one of the first thing TRD does?

because the of the grippier 18-inch Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires which measure 225/40 all round. The 7.5Jx18 TRD SF2 wheels looked great against the car’s black exterior and thanks to a slightly more aggressive offset of +46, sat a little bit more flush with the body.
Just pointing out the same fact that chano mentioned about the whole engineer thing.
