So i've had an AEM wideband installed for quite a while now and it seems the sensor might have died on me. For a while it would operate as normal for the first few minutes of driving then it would only read 14.8 or maybe 14.7 no matter what.
I'm assuming the o2 sensor has gone bad but I figured i'd check here first for confirmation before i buy a new one and bother to install it. I guess it's possible the wiring has come loose? Also if it is going bad is there anything i can do to extend it's life a little? Like cleaning it somehow?

All we can suggest is to double check the wiring and order a new one if need be.

Triple check your installation, and if needed contact AEM support.

I also have an AEM wideband with this same issue, although mine does change afr's once in awhile but is in no way correct.
Let me know if you come up with anything besides ordering a new sensor. I already went ahead and bought an Innovate Mtx-l wideband. |

I swear i read here before a guy was recommending cleaning an o2 sensor to get all the carbon build up and whatever else off and that ended up making the sensor work. at least for a little... anyone ever heard of anything like that or am I making things up? |
