Default help need tire advice for a 2.5i

hi guys im looking for a all-season touring tire that has stiff sidewalls for good steering response and something that can perform in wet and light snow. I have Michelin primacy mxv4 on my TL but as good as that tire is in winter it's horrible in dry steering/handling department.

so far i have found bfgoodrich advantage ta to be the best replacement (i was advised by tirerack). they are H rated tires. some also advised yokohoma envigor tires but from reviews i gathered envigors lack wet/light snow traction. Someone said something about pirelli p4 but they are only T rated tires which means soft sidewall and bad steering response right? are bfgoodrich advantage tires my best bet? any suggestions or alternatives?

This doesn't exist.

snow tires benefit from softer sidewalls, there are plenty of summer tires that can handle the wet just fine, but have a temperature threshold which will make them harden up.

do i have to buy tpms sensors?

also i have been quoted 700$ inclduing installation and balancing for pirelli p4 91H and the BFgoodrich tires mentioned above. i will probably be choosing the pirelis.

Last year I installed a set of the Bridgestone Potenza RE960A/S on my Impreza and was really pleased with them. They were quiet on the road and gave good grip when driving in the wet and snow last season.

I believe Bridgestone has replaced them with the RE970 now.

The Pirelli P4's are made in China, or Brazil if that matters to you....Michellin mxv4's are made in USA or Canada. Just something to think about, I almost went for the P4s and ended up buying the MXV4's, no way was I going to run Chinese made tires.

totally forgot about re970s. they are almost $100 cheaper than the michelins for a set of 4.

thanks for the headsup, the P4s i saw were made in brazil. im not getting mxv4 because of bad experience i had on my TL (chunking and worn out quickly even with rotation every 15000km and tire pressure adjustment every 2 weeks):

one of them ended up bulging so i got rid of the whole set and switched to pirelli p6, which btw are made in Italy.
