Default MIA MAP and MAF Rough idle

I have a 99 impreza outback sport with a 2.2. There is not a MAF like my older 97 had near the passenger fender nor can I find a MAP on the intake manifold anywhere. I think there should be one or the other and I defiantly know that it is not a MAF system unless it is hidden in some other place.
Any suggestions on location of the MAP or what the system uses?
I looked just to the right of the coil pack and it is not there.

99 impreza has a MAF... Should be right after the airbox intake.
