Default forge iwg on vf52

Ok so i bought a forge internal wastegate for a td04/05 and it will bolt up just fine to my vf52 but there is one problem. The wastegate arm on the forge unit attaches to the flapper differnt then the vf52 arm. The forge is female at the end and the vf52 is male at the end. I was wondering if i can attach the forge unit with just a nut and bolt as long as i leave it a little loose for travel. Sorry if my terminolagy and spelling are not on point.

I'm looking to change my actuator out as well but am having a hard time finding concrete evidence that justifies buying one.

My car will hit peak boost (21psi) then immediately fall off quickly from there down to around 12 psi IIRC. My tuner thinks the wastegate is weak and staying open.

Was on Forge's site and didn't see an actuator specifically for the VF52. Did you get your problem solved? I know this is an older thread just didn't see any responses or updates.

Forge iwg wont fit but yes i switched to e85 and my tuner made a great tune i am hitting 23psi tapering to around 18psi by my 6k redline with the stock iwg. If you want avo makes a iwg for the vf52 if your interested.

Did not know that AVO made one for the VF52.
I emailed them directly and they stated that they didn't make one specifically for the VF52 turbo. Do you have a model number for the one you got?

Tested and no leaks. Wish it was that easy of a fix.
I hate how something so easy to fix becomes a chore.
Oh well, it's part of the learning game I guess.

I dont have one but the 08+ avo p# s2d08g08a002. Also kinugawa makes one directly for the vf52 and is cheaper.

Not sure changing the acuator would really be worthwhile on a vf turbo. A better investment would be an EWG hands down.

Got a 15lb Kinugawa for $96 (with shipping) and it's too stiff. I peek at 24psi and tapers down to about 22psi. Which means I don't push the pedal down or go past 3000 rpms

Looking into TurboSmart 10lb actuator.

In the meantime I'm going to see if my stock unit will hold as it turns out one of the rubber ends was ripped on my factory throttle body hose. Have since replaced the hose with a silicone hose and t-bolt clamps.

Hopefully the stock unit will work and I can quit stewing over this crap not working correct.

.
Sounds like your tune needs to be adjusted. You should be able to make that just hold a solid 15psi if you wanted to.

Yeah what are your WDCs? You should have them turned down to 0 for 15psi and alittle more for more. If you kept them the same and just swapped out the wastegate actuator I'd guess you'd be boosting almost double your targets. On the stock unit with a stage 1, I"m getting 16psi@3500rpm with only 60%WDC.
