So I recently purchased the Perrin turbo blanket, Perrin Heatshield, and Cobb DP. Pretty pumped for these to go on Friday! I know I will gain power from the DP and improved turbo flow (finally.) From what I have read, the rumble will still still be comparable to stock, which isn't an issue.
My question is, will I still have the amazing turbo whistle that I hear from the videos? As far as the down spool. I am aware that a complete turboback will allow the whistle to be audible, but as of now, I'm not heading that route. Thanks!

what are you using to tune? i have a catless DP on my car with the stock exhaust. car is a little deeper, and you can hear the turbo a little bit more (as opposed to not at all). if you are looking for the wooosshhing noises, you need to get an intake

I do have the Cobb Intake w/ airbox now. I will be running Cobb's OTS Stage 2 maps. then go protune later. I talking the sound when you give it gas and then rpms drop and the turbo whistles.

i hear it, but its not as pronounced as you may think. i am also catless, which increases that noise..i think the intake may drown it out all together, but im not sure. keep us updated!

All you need to run a stage 2 map is a DP. Of course the exhaust will make you gain a little more, but as long as you have a DP, you are able to run a stage 2 map.
