Default Dealership Maitnence

Hello all!

My 2008 subaru wrx has just hit 75,000 miles. My next oil change is in a few hundred miles and I am going to bring it to the dealership. I have begun to hear a whistling ish sound that I have pinpointed to the belt on the front of the motor. I haven't had time to properly research what it's called or even looked at the owners manual. Been working a lot of OT saving up for some new mods but before I shell out the dough for these I want to have my car running 100% and actualy feel safe (well safer) in modding it.

Soooo should I pay the dealership to check everything out and perform the Maitnence. Or should I pay them just to inspect and perform the Maitnence myself. (I have no problem researching and doing the work myself I just have no idea how to diagnose and problems or issues.)

Let me know what you guys think is the best route!

Im assuming your warranty is over? You can find a reputable subaru shop around you through the nasioc vendors here.
