I have a 2012 Impreza STI limited and I need some help. My car has a K&N intake, agency power downpipe, invidia cat-back, and a turbo blanket(idk if that's relevant). I live in Nebraska and its about 40-50 degrees f outside right now. My car is open source tuned and yes we did tell the 0-2 sensors not to freak out once I put the downpipe on. I don't have the codes for my check engine light but I figured I'd ask you guys real quick. THE PROBLEM: Everytime I jump on the interstate or I'm cruising around 65 in fifth or sixth gear my check engine light comes on immediately. If I'm having fun and using boost and driving like an idiot my check engine light won't come on but obviously I can't do that all the time. The car drives fine with it on but I'm stuck in sport mode with no cruise control. If I park the car for 24 hours and go start it the light will be off. Any ideas what this could be?

Well, it would help us help you a lot better if you pulled the code. If we don't have a code to work with, there ain't much we can tell ya...

if its coming on under cruise only i can pretty much guess its goign to be a fuel trim code, either system too rich or lean. Most likely from a miscalibration of the intake.
get teh code and report back |

on your way home from work today, stop by Oreilly's, Auto Zone, NAPA, etc and have them pull the code. Otherwise we're all just guessing.

If you're on facebook, look up the Siouxland Subaru Club, there's a couple locals that may be able to help you.

are you punching it at low rpm? ive heard and i could be misatken is that can cause an overboost code. i was told this by the head mech at the subaru dealership. you definatly need to pull the codes.

He said it's only when he's cruising. Regardless, this thread is over two weeks old. Lets hope he has it figured out by now.
