Default Out with the old, in with the......old...

So I got rid of my other leggy brighton, it had too many issues to keep up with, after the heads went and it smoked like a beast I decided to get rid of it, especially since I left Florida to come back to NH in such a rush that I left my car in FL, my fiance sold it for me and sent me the cash...

$600 bucks got me this beauty:

Yes it's got a few problems, but ZERO mechanically, check engine light works but is not on Needs way minor rust work compared to my brighton, AND I have 4 speakers, a moon roof, tweeters, power windows, roof racks, abs(pfft) and so on. Clutch feels brand new, tires are almost new, runs solid, alignment is spot on, engine is perfectly sound. I couldn't be more happy. Can't wait to see what I do with this one.

psssh, if the cel in your subaru is off the bulb MUST be burned out.

my parents bought a 1992 legacy brand new and drove it 275,000 miles before they sold it...blew up an engine when my dad ****ed up on an oil change, and burned oil like a mofo. other than that, never broke down.

Future plans is: polish headlights, replace 3 damaged doors, headers and test pipes, replace the violin unrequited tube with a pipe. Fix the rear quarters. Shifter knuckle, front main seals. Then the car will be complete and I might give it to my fiance and buy a bugeye or swap a bugeye motor into it next tax season.

Updating this thing. I was gunna trash it and buy another car, but I decided to fix my problems rather than buy another. So far in the past week I:

Bought a new drivers side rust free for that paint matches. Still looking for both passenger sides.

Bought a rust free paint matching trunk, bought a new handle separate.

New gates timing belt, oil pump gasket, oil pump o ring, crankshaft gasket, and cam gaskets.

Bunch of body supplies so I can get started on some of the rust spots.

New fog lights, bulbs, and a headlight restore kit.

Two steering knuckles off a parts car, driver's side bearing is shot, and passenger side bolt that holds the ball joint in snapped off inside.

Some other stuff I can't think of, but I'll have the car back today with all the new seals installed
