Those that follow us on FB have known about this a bit longer but we thought we'd share here.

Event: 1/4 mile shakedown
Location: Western Colorado Dragway
Ambient Temp: ?? Cool
Elevation: 4800 feet DA Unknown 10/5/12
Weather: clear
Track and Conditions: meh
Tires: M&H 245/45/17
Car: 1993 Impreza Crotch Car
Tuner: Elevated Willy
Transmission: V8 6 Speed
Target Boost: 27psi on this pass
Fuel: Pump E85
Engine/Power Modifications:
JC fabworks Forward facing 6466,
ASF Sleeved EJ257 with 10.2:1 CR,
75mm Stroke, ASF Long Rods,
Secret Sauce SOHC Heads,
ASF Monstrosity Intake Manifold,
Zero Drift Sport NA Manifold Fuel Rails,
FIC 2150s, Stinger 4424 ECU
Dyno: Makes 540-605whp depending on boost on Dyno Dynamics (11 STIs baseline at 210-215whp), this pass would be in the 550 range.



Driveline Modifications:
Full STi drivetrain, ACT Clutch, DSS Al One Piece Shaft

Finally, a true front facing setup. Turbo square to bumper and no space between turbo and ic. :golf clap:

Edit: the fobia stuff is square to the bumper, too.

I like that turbo kit design. Very simple and perfect. Do you notice a huge difference with shorter piping ? Or hard to compare with those heads no one else really has. Did you have this turbo on std rotated style piping/ non reverse mani on this car before or was all done at once?

To notice difference in spool lag

Old setup had Version III DOHC heads and a stock location FP Green on a 2.5L.
This spools almost as quickly, closest thing to compare would be the white '11 we did with an AMS 6266 kit which spooled about 4-500 rpm slower than this 6466.



As for the radiator...

U guys going to use a screen like a prefilter screen vs. that air filter? For the track; as to get the ram air effect.
