I thought Ford was out and I figured Petter was out of a seat? So he'll just go as an M-Sport driver there just won't be a factory team? Interesting. Certainly there won't be as much budget-heck I always figured Ford kicked in some of the operating budget for M-Sport much like Citroen for Citroen Junior.

Ford is out as a full-fledged factory team but they're not pulling all support for the cars. M-Sport actually builds and prepares the cars for each rally so all they really need are some proper sponsors. The same thing is happening to Mini and Prodrive. I really wish Prodrive had gotten the funding it needed. It would have been great to see a Mini in the top 3 at the end of the season.

All this speculation is just that. Nobody knows for sure what's gonna happen next year yet...that's why they call it the Silly Season!

Hmm...I don't know. No one has speculated where Atko is going to be. I think his contract with Mini Motorsport Italia is just till the end of the year and according to this article...Motorsport Italia's moving away from Mini next year.

Also, Prodrive and Motorsport Italia are actually separate "manufacturer" teams. Atko actually got to drive on every single rally after he got in a contract with Moto Italia.
