Default What mods to get 05 STI to 350whp and 12 sec 1/4 mile

A guy told me that with E and stock VF39 turbo on an 05 STi I could get 350whp on "some" dynos and would run 12 sec 1/4 mile times as long as I knew how to launch. He also said I'd keep up with LS3 'vettes in roll races. He said it can be done for less than $5K. Only problem is he didn't tell me what mods and I don't have contact with him anymore. He's on here somewhere I think.

I searched and some people seem to think it can be done but some don't.

Anyone have a suggested mod list?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

i personally went 12.8 with my 04 with just short ram intake, catted downpipe w/ 3" catback, EBCS, and a tune at 20psi on pump gas only with 18's. so if you went quality used parts say, e85, turbo inlet, injectors, fuel pump, TGV deletes, and an up pipe. you could prob be low 12 range but i dont see you being able to stay with an LS3 from a roll with those mods.

If you want to do it on pump 93, here's my build that was 350hp/346tq.

edit:

this is a corn fuel 04 sti that almost hits 350 but has big tq (375)

Basic stage 2 setup plus injectors, fuel pump, boost control and e85 tune will get your low 12's to high 11's.

$5k can get you quite a bit. Turbo for 1.5k-1.7k new, Grimmspeed header with hi flow mid section, up-pipe, EBCS and TGV delete for $850, DP roughly $150-300, Injectors $400-500, fuel pump $85, turbo inlet 200-300, Cobb AP for $700 + tune. All that puts you well under $5k and capable of 380hp pretty easily on pump.

I went 12.6 with hks flange DP and an autox tune. You can probably dip into 12's with just a tune alone.

Since you want to run 12s, don't worry about the hp number. Injectors, fp, dp, ebcs, and a tune should hit 12s depending on driving ability. Run E85 and you should be able to hit low 12s. That should cost you a hell of a lot less than 5k, even buying brand new parts from good brands.

I went 12.838 @ 106mph on a 06 wrx with a 04 6MT swap on stage 2 CA 91 oct tuned at 291whp/323wtq. I know a guy who have broke into the 11's on a vf series turbo on E85. Most will be deep into the 12's though.
