Hmm, a more luxurious sedan style GT-R perhaps.

Hmm, so will there be any legal action between Audi & Nissan over the Q prefix?

I would absolutely consider a GTR sedan for a DD.

Clearly not. He said forced induction V6; the M56/Q50 is a N/A V8.

The press release states that the new nomenclature is implemented precisely to avoid that kind of trademark problem, and that Infiniti owns the right to Q + two digit numbers and QX + two digit numbers.

I think it's kind of stupid, but at the end if the product is good this will be seen positively.

I think people are reading way too much into this.

The press release just says that the current naming scheme doesn't work for forced induction engines, and that they would have to use 'M30' for a hypothetical forced induction 3.0L V6, even if it made more power than the M56.

If they were talking about an Infiniti M with a GT-R engine, it'd have to be called M38 under the old naming scheme, not M30.
