So My key ring light stays on all the time dome turns off but not the light in the ring. yes it's stock.

Is there a relay that would turn that off OR would someone have a wiring diagram for the lighting system???

Is the light on or is it blinking? Have you recently replaced the body integrated unit? Changed anything withe the alarm, immobilizer, keyless entry? Any kind of electrical work or repairs? Have you tried disconnection the battery and letting the car reboot all the ECUs to see if that will resolve it?

Boost06STI reply would only be valid if the light was blinking. What he is referring to is using the Subaru "scan tool" that the dealer has. If the light was blinking the BIU is in Factory mode. Any other light condition precludes that setting unless the software has been corrupted.

If you have the factory nav unit with the center control screen in the dash you may be able to access some of the customize settings there. You need to dig out the owners manual and see which functions you can access. If not, and disconnecting the battery doesn't help then you will probably need to go to the dealer.

I will try try unhooking the battery. Whats the cost of a new body integrated unit?
